At Zengenti we're proud of our sense of community. We run user groups, visit our users regularly, and we're soon to launch a beta programme for Contensis. Last year we held our first user conference. Following the success of Rocket Conference '14 we're hosting our second annual event at Austin Court, Birmingham, Thursday 4 June.

This year we're doing things differently. Rocket 15 will consist of two separate streams — one aimed at developers and the other at those who create, edit, or manage content. These aren't supposed to be rigid. Delegates are free to mix and match sessions from either stream. 

Keynotes for all

Keynote presentations will be remain outside of these streams so that everyone can attend them. Highlights include:

  • Richard Saunders providing an overview of the future direction of Contensis.  
  • Guest speaker Katarzyna Stawarz looking at the importance of people skills in the digital world.
  • Jon Lewis and Zach Beauvais examining the ways technology can help to provide quality content.

What's possible with Contensis

The developer stream is aimed at people who regularly get their hands dirty with code. That's not to say they're exclusively for developers, but they will be pretty technical in nature. These sessions will demonstrate what's possible with Contensis and how to go about making powerful customisations to your site. The sessions include:

  • Jon Moore looking at the future of CSS layouts.
  • Lewis Moorcroft explaining how propertied Razor views can be used to create complex and configurable controls.
  • Dan White giving an overview of using AngularJS to create dynamic pages in Contensis.  
  • Jon Moore and Jon Maskrey explaining how to turbocharge your web presence. 

Getting good at content

The content stream has sessions that, whilst aimed at content editors and marketing staff, will contain useful advice for all Contensis users. More and more organisations are coming to the realisation that we all need to be good at content.

  • Jon Lewis takes us through some rules of thumb for making sure users can make sense of what we've created.
  • Zach Beauvais looks at whether we're all content creators now and what implications this has. 
  • Jon Maskrey talks us through some quick and dirty testing tips to ensure the best experience for our users.
  • Guest speaker Gabriel Smy gives some tips on creating more purposeful content.

Aside from these sessions there will be many opportunities to chat with other Contensis users and Zengenti staff. This year we'll be holding Rock-it, our post-conference social, at Le Monde, Birmingham after the conference.
