In Contensis you can easily add videos to your pages. Enhance your website visitor experience with persuasive and high availability video. You can choose to add your videos to Contensis or stream them from an external source.
Adding videos in Contensis
The Contensis media gallery supports video as well as images, so you can navigate the media gallery to find either media.
Contensis supports MP4 content natively as well as many other video formats including FLV, MPG and AVI. Videos can be added through the create new content wizard.
Streaming videos from an external source
You can choose to host your video using content delivery networks if you prefer. Popular CDNs include Akamai Technologies or Amazon CloudFront. You can upload videos to a YouTube or Vimeo account and stream them from that location.
If you are inserting a video from a different source you can choose a control from the contextual menu in Contensis and paste in the URL.
Industry standard media player
Contensis provides support for the LongTail Video JW Player. Although it is a Flash player, it will use HTML5 when accessed on a device which doesn't support Flash, making it a responsive solution. This player is one of the only solutions that ticks all the boxes from an accessibility viewpoint, supporting closed captioning. JW Player can be given a skin (design) to match the design of your site.
When you buy a Contensis licence, you will have a licence to use the JW Player on as many sites as you are licensed for with Contensis.
