The first fifteen websites for Domino Printing Sciences plc have been launched - in multiple languages - as part of a comprehensive re-working of their global online marketing presence.
Domino are a major UK success story in the challenging world of high-technology manufacturing. Through a global network of 25 subsidiary offices and in excess of 200 distributors, Domino Printing Sciences plc sells to over 120 countries offering extensive customer support. In 2009, Domino Printing Sciences plc achieved a turnover of £256.1 million. It is listed in the FTSE 250 share index on the London Stock Exchange (share code DNO). The Group employs 2,100 people worldwide with manufacturing facilities situated in UK, China, Germany, India, Sweden and USA and customers across a diverse industry base, including food, beverage, pharmaceutical and multiple industrial product groups.
The newly-launched suite of websites will build on their global presence by consolidating their site into one UK-based Content Management System, that will in turn be edited by staff worldwide, including Europe, East Asia and the Americas. The site boasts sophisticated multimedia Product Information Management, personalisation via “My Domino” and multi-lingual workflow - all of which are supported by core Contensis functionality. There will ultimately be twenty-five separate websites all published from a single hosted instance of Contensis. There is already a Chinese language site, a dual English/French site for Canada and a dual French/Dutch site for Benelux countries. For the dual language sites, Contensis makes an additional tier of translation workflow straightforward.
Domino’s Group Marketing Manager, Sheila Richardson, who chose Contensis after a comprehensive analysis and tender process, says of Contensis “It’s a very versatile system, and easy to administer. With our extensive multilingual website, it’s essential to our global team for managing their day-to-day work”.
“This project was challenging, fun and satisfying - both from a technical and delivery viewpoint” said Genetics Ltd’s Chief Technology Officer, Richard Chivers, who has overseen the build from our side. “It’s also a great testament to the skill of our development and professional services staff who have really put their all into Domino’s project”.
Now they have made their move, everyone involved in the project are happy that the new Domino Printing Sciences plc website will significantly enhance their already high-quality game and assist them to jump over the competition.
