Import from Office Wizard - Simplifying the import process

The Import from Office Wizard provides users with a simplified process of converting content from Office applications into web pages.  The content management system automates the normally time-consuming and frustrating conversion from Office to the web.

You can see the results of how Microsoft Word produces a web page compared to the Contensis Import from Office Wizard.

Import from Office Wizard - uploading image step

The first step in importing from Office, is to select the position within a web page to import the content and then to browse for the Word document.

The system will process the document and identify any images that are included.  For each image found in the document the system prompts the user to specify the "ALT Text" and the destination of the image.  This is shown in the screen shot opposite.

It is worth noting that once an image is uploaded into Contensis it can be reused over and over again.

After the import process, you can always amend the content and apply additional formatting if required.

The screen shot opposite shows the final web page how it is served from the website.  Contensis ensures that the XHTML conforms to web guidelines.
