Real Preview - See what it will really look like

Many Content Management Systems will give you a preview that is similar to what the content will look like when it is live but often not identical. Contensis gives you a real preview that is fully navigable and fully functional.

The reason Contensis is able to give you a real preview is that we run a full disconnected publishing model . This model enables us to run a full replica of the live server, but with the edit version of the content.

You can browse the preview server just like your live website, but instead of seeing the live content you will see the latest editing version of the content.

You can of course set up multiple environments; often customers will have preview, staging and then, ultimately, a number of live servers depending upon their traffic and usage profiles.

At any time you can preview content by simply clicking on the item in The Navigator , from here you can choose to either preview to test or to live.

If you are editing a piece of content you can preview to test or live simply by clicking the preview button in the Editor.

As you can see there is also an option to preview using dualview . Dualview enables you to view any version of the content side by side, so you can, for example, see how the homepage looked last Christmas against now.

If you just want to preview a previous version, this can be done from the version history tab.

Whatever you preview, you can be assured that it is a REAL preview of the content, and if you authorise the version to live, it will appear exactly as you have seen.
