Editor's Perspective
Editors are working with our software day-in day-out so we’ve developed Contensis to make that experience a great one.
You’ll find that creating, removing and editing pages is what Contensis has always done well and we keep refining the experience by automating and simlifying repetitive tasks with each release.
The focus for editors includes:
Check out and Auditing
When you edit a page the content is automatically checked out (to prevent duplication), if you want to know who the last person was that worked on the page then simply view the audit trail of the page and you’ll see a “who, what and when” for this page since its creation. A variety of email notifications can be set to be triggered when content’s state changes – such as when it is checked out, published, expiring or needs a review.
What You See Is What You Get
Once you’ve opened the page for editing, you edit the content within the design that it will be published into. All of the expected text styling features are available and alongside these are some fantastic extra controls for importing from Microsoft Word, spell-checking and adding hyperlinks etc… Want to alter an image without opening Photoshop? All images can be edited and cropped within the CMS and all without overwriting the original file.
Publishing
Once you have added that final paragraph or stunning photograph, and assuming that you have the necessary permissions, just authorise the page for publishing with one click and it’ll be live!
