Contensis launches R7.1 - reinforcing customer investment

Contensis continues its innovation in content management systems with the launch of the latest version of its market-leading web CMS.

R7.1 is the very latest release of the Contensis Enterprise CMS and the first using its new release schedule that sees a new version every 4 months.

Highlights include a redesigned dashboard, a new Social Media module and further updates to the Quality Assurance module.

The new Social Media module will allow organisations to post to Twitter with thresholds and moderation, so any of their staff can get involved, even if they are not the Social Media Guru, although the Social Media Guru may tweak their post if needed at moderation stage.

Contensis CTO Richard Chivers said: “Adopting our CMS is an investment and with each release of Contensis we prove that our clients have made a great decision. We like to reward their loyalty by rolling-out solid and frequent advances in-line with, and ahead of, developments on the web.”

There has been a raft of productivity improvements in R7.1 – ideas which have been raised on the Contensis forums as well as through more formal channels such as Contensis Usergroups and the Customer 'wish list'.

“We carried out some really useful interviews on site with fresh users of the CMS to get their feedback, and see where we could improve initial engagement with Contensis, which taught us a lot!”

The Contensis University User group on the 24th November showcased some of the new features, with a video feed of the event available to Contensis customers.

Contensis is continuing to grow and this week has announced the employment of two new members of staff ready to start just before Christmas.
